Based in Beijing, Daimler Northeast Asia (DNEA) is responsible for the operations of Mercedes-Benz Cars, Mercedes-Benz Vans, Daimler Trucks and Daimler Financial Services in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Republic of Korea. It imports vehicles in the region under the Mercedes-Benz, Maybach and smart brands, and builds Mercedes-Benz sedans and vans in China. DNEA has a joint venture in Beijing with Beijing Automotive Industrial Holiding Company (BAIC), called BeijingBenz-DaimlerChrysler Automotive Ltd (BBDC) which produces Mercedes-Benz E-Class and C-Class Sedans. It also has a joint venture in Fuzhou with Fujian Motors Group and China Motors Corp called Fujian Daimler Automotive Ltd (FJDA), which will produce Mercedes-Benz Vito/Viano and Sprinter transporters. DNEA is also working with Beiqi Foton in Beijing to offer mid-and-heavy duty trucks and technology in China.
